What Is the Next-Gen OT?
The Operating Theatre at The Women's Hospital is not a standard surgical room. It is India's first operating suite designed in collaboration with leading Korean medical facility architects, who are globally recognized for producing some of the most precisely engineered, infection-controlled, and ergonomically optimized surgical environments in the world.
Every element of the design, from airflow and surface materials to lighting systems and equipment positioning, has been chosen with one goal: to give surgeons the best possible conditions to perform and give patients the safest possible environment in which to heal. The result is three modular operating theatres that combine the clinical infrastructure of a tertiary care hospital with the thoughtful, human-centered design philosophy that distinguishes The Women's Hospital across every part of its facility.

A dedicated IVF OT provides a precisely controlled environment for egg retrieval and embryo transfer, where temperature stability, air quality, and the absence of volatile compounds are critical to embryo viability.

Preparation
Before your procedure, our surgical team prepares the OT specifically for your operation, calibrating equipment, confirming sterility, and setting up the instruments required for your specific procedure. You will be met by your surgical team and anesthesiologist before entering the theatre.
